Tata Punch First Service Experience – Cost, Process & Key Takeaways

If you own a Tata Punch and wonder what happens during the first service, you’re in the right place! In this blog, I will share my experience with the first service of my Tata Punch, including the cost, process, and overall experience at the service center.

When Should You Get the First Service Done?

According to Tata Motors, the first service of the Tata Punch should be done within 2 months or 2000 km, whichever comes first. It’s essential to follow this timeline to maintain the vehicle's warranty.

My car had run 1309 km when I took it for the first service, ensuring I was well within the recommended period.

Reaching the Tata Service Center

I visited the Tata service center in Agra (Sadar Market) for the first service. As expected, the service center was busy, with many cars being serviced. After a brief wait in line, my car was assigned a service bay.

What Happens in the First Service?

Unlike regular services, the first service is mainly focused on inspection and cleaning rather than repairs. Here’s what was done:

  • General inspection of the engine, brakes, and other essential components.

  • Cleaning and polishing of the car’s exterior and interior.

  • Gear Shift Issue Check – I had noticed a slight gear shift issue, so I mentioned it to the service advisor. They assured me it was normal and would smooth out with time.

  • Windshield Washer Fluid Refill – The service team added a mandatory cleaning solution to the windshield washer fluid.

Since my car did not have any major issues, the service was completed fairly quickly.

Tata Punch First Service Cost

One of the biggest concerns for new car owners is the cost of the first service.

💰 Total Bill: ₹434

The breakdown of the charges:

  • Windshield washer fluid (mandatory) – Included in the bill

  • No labor cost as this was a free service.

So, the first service of the Tata Punch is almost free, except for the minor charges for consumables.

Final Thoughts – Is Tata’s Service Good?

Overall, my first service experience was smooth. The service center staff were professional, and my car was cleaned and polished well. Some key takeaways: ✅ The process is quick and hassle-free. ✅ Minimal cost involved. ✅ Ensure you get it done within the recommended time to maintain the warranty. ✅ Mention any minor issues (like gear shift problems) so they can be checked.

Tata Punch CNG One-Year Ownership Review – Real-World Experience & Mileage Breakdown

Tata Punch CNG has been my daily driver for a year now, covering 18,000 KM. In this blog, I’ll share my real-world experience, mileage analysis, and whether this CNG variant is the right choice for you.

Driving Experience After 18,000 KM

After a year of ownership, I can confidently say that the Tata Punch CNG has been a reliable and efficient vehicle. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:

Positives:

  • Excellent Mileage: The car delivers impressive mileage in different conditions (more on that below).

  • Low Running Cost: With fuel prices constantly fluctuating, CNG proves to be a cost-effective choice.

  • Smooth Drive: The Punch CNG offers a refined driving experience with minimal vibrations.

  • Adequate Power: Despite being a CNG vehicle, the power output is sufficient for city and highway driving.

  • Spacious Cabin: The cabin remains comfortable even on long drives.

Negatives:

  • Boot Space Reduction: Due to the twin-cylinder setup, boot space is significantly reduced.

  • Slower Pickup in CNG Mode: Acceleration is slightly sluggish compared to petrol mode.

  • Limited CNG Filling Stations: Availability of CNG stations can be a challenge depending on your city.

Tata Punch CNG Mileage Analysis

Here’s the mileage I’ve observed under different driving conditions:

Driving ConditionMileage (KM/KG)
Expressway30
Highway27-29
City (Minimum)22

For comparison, here’s the mileage of the Tata Punch in petrol mode:

Driving ConditionMileage (KM/L)
Highway (Max)21
City12-16

With the current fuel prices in my city (₹93/kg for CNG and ₹94/liter for petrol), CNG remains the more economical option.

Performance & Maintenance

The engine has been performing well without major issues. However, I follow a strict maintenance schedule to ensure smooth operation. Regular servicing and proper air filter cleaning help maintain optimal mileage and performance.

Should You Buy Tata Punch CNG?

If your daily running is high and CNG stations are easily accessible in your area, the Tata Punch CNG is a great choice. However, if you need ample boot space or prefer quicker acceleration, you might want to consider other options.

Final Verdict:

Best for: Budget-conscious buyers who prioritize mileage and lower running costs.
Not ideal for: Those who frequently require large boot space or instant acceleration.

That’s my detailed ownership review! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions.

Tata Punch CNG Highway Mileage Test: Shocking Results 😲 #tatapunch #mileagetest

Tata Punch CNG Highway Mileage Test: Shocking Results

Hello Everyone, welcome to the new Blog. Here, I will explain the mileage that you will get for your Tata Punch CNG variant. I purchased this car and this is the first long drive mileage before the first service.

Many people say that mileage increases after the 1st and 2nd service. So I tested before the first service and got shocked after the results.

In this Total journey I drove over 300KM round trip. and this was on a totally single lane highway (90% single lane highway) with 4 passengers and minimum luggage.

So I first filled CNG and that only 6kg cng came and I had already 1 CNG bar on that, it means almost 2kg.

Let's take a total of 8.5Kg around CNG gas in the car and AC in this full journey running continuously on 2 points.

As you all know, on the Single lane highway, You have to reduce speed, increase, and traffic; all conditions were there.

Journey was good as I will share my feedback about the car drive in the upcoming blog so follow me for the same. What was my experience, comfort, driving in the city or highway, everything I will explain in the upcoming blogs.

And for the best mileage, always drive in 2000 RPM and max 2500 RPM.

I am coming to the conclusion that my CNG fuel ends at 195KM.

Overall it gave me 24KM/KG and that was not bad at all. Before the first service, I got this mileage and I was Shocked because the company claimed 26 KM/KG

It all depends on your driving style, roads, and Traffic.

Tata Punch Pre-Delivery Inspection Tips & Checklist – What to Check Before Delivery!

Hello Everyone, This is my first blog. Let me tell you about myself. I have been running a YouTube channel for the past year and have around 2k subscribers as of now with over 8 lakh views. So, in this period, the audience has believed in me and engaged with me through my content.

So I will keep this very short and clear.

How to do PDI of your new car, especially the Tata Punch

I will explain in a few points, here is the checklist -
  • You need to check the outer side of the car for scratches, dents, or gaps.
  • Open your Engine Bay Check all the wiring, coolant, break fluid is full or not.
  • Check all the electronics in the car, including headlights, mirrors, back light, reverse light, brake light, high beam, low beam, and all the indicators.
  • Check Gaps inside also.
  • Start the car and test audio system, engine noise and see if  there is any other different noise coming.
  • Don't forget to check your tyre details, it should be made in the recent year and recent month, not more than 4 months old tyre or a year old tyres.
  • Check if the accessories are completed or not.
  • Mostly people forget to check the Spare tyre please check that.
  • Check that your Chassis number matches when you booked your car.

So these are the basic and most important points. Now I am giving you a few Tips before taking the delivery of the Car.

You can easily negotiate for the accessories. It's not mandatory to take the accessories from the dealer.
You can ask for a big discount on your insurance.

If It's the month end or March end, you can also ask for the dealer discount            because they have to sell their inventory in the financial closing and in the              month end they have to meet their targets.
